What this class is
Engineering Level 1 is where most children start. Each of the six sessions opens with a short lesson on one principle (how a lever multiplies force, why a triangle is stiffer than a square, where stored energy goes when you let it out) and then goes straight to the bench.
Your child builds their own project every week, tests it, finds out where it fails, and fixes it. Some of the work is solo, some is in pairs, deliberately: quieter children get their own build and sociable ones get a team.
Everything they make goes home the same afternoon.

Good to know
- Ages: grades 1-3. A young Grade 3 who has not built before still fits here.
- Bring: nothing but a water bottle. The space is nut-free.
- Drop-off: from 3:35PM, second floor. Pick-up at 5:15PM at the door.
- Waiver: signed digitally at checkout, once per child per year.
Cancellations
Withdraw more than two weeks before the first lesson for a 50% refund. Inside two weeks no refund is issued, and enrolments are non-transferable between children.

Before you enrol
Common questions
What if my child hates it after week one?
Book the try-out lesson instead of the series. If they want to carry on, the $65 comes off the term fee; if they do not, that is the end of it.
Can we start in week three?
Yes. The price is prorated to the sessions left, and because each week is a self-contained topic they will not arrive behind.
Is Grade 3 better in Level 1 or Level 2?
Level 1 if this is their first hands-on class, Level 2 if they have done a year with us or already build at home. If you are unsure, tell us their age and what they have made before and we will say.
Who is in the room with them?
One instructor for a maximum of twelve children, with a second pair of hands on the busier evenings. Instructors are background-checked and the space is nut-free.
