Topics

What we can run

Simple machines & forces

Levers, pulleys, gears and structures. Students build a machine that has to do a job, then load it until it fails. Grades 2-5.

Circuits & electricity

Closed circuits, conductors, switches. Each student builds a working light-up project and takes it home. Grades 1-5.

Light & optics

Reflection, refraction and colour, ending in an infinity mirror or kaleidoscope build. Grades 3-6.

Robotics with LEGO SPIKE

Build and code a robot to complete a set challenge, in teams. Needs the full 90 minutes. Grades 3-7.

Renewable energy

Solar and wind generation and the conservation law, built into a model that measurably works. Grades 4-7.

Space & rocketry

Thrust, drag and stability, then build and launch. Best run at our space or outdoors. Grades 2-6.

For Scout leaders

Badge work that isn’t a worksheet

Troops have been our steadiest group booking. Sessions are built to cover the requirements properly, the Scouts do the science, not a colouring page about it.

  • Mapped to STEM, engineering and inventing badge requirements
  • Evening and weekend slots that fit troop meeting times
  • Tax exemption certificate accepted at time of booking
  • We can travel to your regular meeting place
